New hair loss restoration surgeon joins DiStefano

Christian G. Heinis, MD has joined the staff at DiStefano Hair Loss Restoration Centers and is working closely with Mark DiStefano, MD, founder of the DiStefano Hair Loss Restoration Centers. Dr. Heinis graduated from the Chicago Medical School in 2000 and did his residency in emergency medicine at Suny Downstate Medical Center, Kings County Hospital. In addition to his work as a hair loss restoration specialist, Dr. Heinis has served as an emergency medical attending physician at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA since 2004. He is also an assistant professor of emergency medicine at UMass Medical School. In the past he has worked as an emergency medical attending physician at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, MA and Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

“The best hair restoration surgeons are artists. In addition to being a top-notch emergency medical physician, Chris is also an artist who sketches and paints,” said Dr. DiStefano. “This gives him one of the most important attributes for a hair loss restoration surgeon, a keen eye for restoring the natural look to our patients hair.”

According to Dr. DiStefano, while it’s necessary to have a high degree of precision required to do this type of micro surgery, the ability to create a natural hair line and transplant hair at a pleasing angle requires significant artistry to achieve the best hair restoration.

“Dr. DiStefano is a leader in the field of hair transplant surgery, particularly here in New England,” Dr. Heinis said. “I look forward to working closely with him and share his goal of giving our patients the best hair restoration surgery possible.”
