David L. Phillips, Sr., MD

Dr. Mark DiStefano is pleased to announce that Dr. David L. Phillips, has joined the Distefano Hair Restoration Center . Dr. Phillips is a seasoned veteran having performed hair transplants exclusively for Bosley for the past 16 years, with over 9,000 procedures performed with skill and artistry.

Dr. Phillips practiced hair restoration surgery at Bosley Medical's busy Boston office from 1992-2008. Dr. Phillips is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (former President, Maine Chapter), and Former President of the Maine Medical Association. He is certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.

Dr. Phillips received his BS degree in Biology from Bates College, and his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army Corps as Reserves Captain from 1964 to 1971. He practiced general surgery at Rumford, Maine Community Hospital from 1971 to 1992.

Dr. Phillips elected to perform hair restoration surgery exclusively in 1992 and affiliated with Bosley Medical. Following his training in hair restoration by Hair Transplantation pioneer L. Lee Bosley, M.D., Dr. Phillips assumed leadership of Bosley Medical's office in Boston.

Dr. Phillips is actively licensed to practice medicine and surgery in eleven states: California, Maine, Massachusetts, Florida, Delaware, New York, Georgia, Texas, Illinois, Washington and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Phillips is a member of the American Medical Association, Maine Medical Association, Massachusetts Medical Society, American Society of General Surgeons, and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons.
